You Have Options When it Comes to Mortgage Payments and Home Foreclosure
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Fannie Mae. All opinions are 100% mine.
While many may be in agreement that the U.S. economy is on the mend, or close to being on the mend, especially as we hear more talk about how newly-elected Representatives plan to get more Americans back into work after months and even years of unemployment, a great deal of families all across the country are desperately trying to piece their lives, financial and otherwise, back together.
One of the most heartbreaking results of the financial crisis, or recession, is the amount of people who have lost their homes due to foreclosure. Not being able to pay your monthly mortgage payments is a frustrating and frightening position to be in; facing the reality …
Vintage Video: Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel Ask “What is the Internet?”
Considering how many of us rely on the internet every single day, for work, for communication with friends, families, acquaintances and co-workers, and even for the occasional recreational video game or funny video, it can be a little difficult to think back to a time when we didn’t have immediate access to the vast and endless world of the internet. In 1994, however, while the internet did exist and people were utilizing it, many were still very unclear as to what the internet was, and what, exactly, people were using it for.

Video: “Oregon Trail” and “Carmen Sandiego” Games are Hitting Facebook this February
Once extremely popular games Oregon Trail and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego are preparing to debut and leave a lasting (and hopefully profitable) impression amongst Facebook users. The Learning Company has recently posted trailers for both games, developed by Blue Fang Games, to garner interest amongst game lovers on the social media platform, as well as those who remember the games from when they originally debuted.
While full details have not been released, we do know that in Oregon Trail you have the ability to form a “wagon party” with your friends and in Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, players are sent on a global search for criminals with the ability to enlist help from friends along the way.
Take a look at the trailers for the new games inside.
An Ohio Woman Faces Felony Charges for Sending Her Kids to School
Kelley Williams-Bolar was a resident of Akron, Ohio. She lived in government housing (also known across the country as “the projects”) and in the time she lived there, her house was broken into and she had to file 12 different police reports for other crime in the area that she and her two young daughters were subjected to. As of the 2000 census, Akron is 67.22% white and 28.48% black and 14% of its families live in poverty.
Williams-Bolar has recently been convicted of tampering with records–a felony offense–for sending her daughters to a school in the nearby Copley-Fairlawn School District where her father is a resident and where she maintains that her daughters had lived part-time.
This case has been receiving some major media attention from across the board. The reason for this is because this …
