Norwegian Mass-Murderer Could Serve Time in “World’s Most Humane Prison”

Multiple news outlets have reported on the possibility that Norwegian mass-murderer Anders Breivik could serve a prison sentence in what TIME has called the “world’s most humane prison.”

Breivik is a right-wing extremist and terrorist who committed the 2011 Norway attacks. The first attack was a car bomb explosion that occurred in Oslo, outside of the office of the Prime Minister and other government buildings. Less than two hours after the bombing in Oslo, he opened fire on teenagers and children who were in attendance at a youth camp organized by the youth organization of the Norwegian Labour Party. He is responsible for the deaths of 76 people, most of whom were youth.
