Household chores have a tendency to bring on bouts of dread and procrastination, but they are a necessary evil. Laundry is one household chore that I don’t mind doing in the least; in fact, I find it quite relaxing. Yes, I’m serious. It may be because before last February when my fiance and I moved into our own home, we were slumming it in apartment living and didn’t have a washer and dryer of our own for four years, so when I do laundry now, there could be a whole lot of gratitude at work. Sorting laundry, putting it into the washer and then into the dryer, and folding it afterwards is a pleasant experience for me overall. I play music, dance around the house, and I make the act of taking care of my home as enjoyable as possible. What I do not like about laundry, however, are the giant bottles of laundry detergent. Buying laundry in bulk, just like anything else, is a big money-saver, but then you have a huge bottle of detergent that you have to try to maneuver, measure out, and get into the washer without making a mess. Not fun. That is why I am a big fan of laundry detergent brands going in the same direction as dishwasher cleaners–making it concentrated and compact so that you can easily take a little pod out of the package, put it into the washer, and that’s all there is to it. Easy.
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the laundry detergent brand all® and the release of their new all® mighty pacs™,along with a microsite that contained a coupon for $1.00 off. Since then, I have had the chance to try these new pre-measured pacs of concentrated laundry detergent, and I have to say, I am impressed.
I have never used all® brand laundry detergent before. It is not my usual brand, but I was interested in trying the all® mighty pacs™ because of the convenience–it opens up a world of no longer lugging around heavy detergent bottles or holding my breath as I measure a cap-full of detergent while being ever so careful not to spill it. What I also really liked about this product is that the concentrated detergent contains active stainlifters™ that work to thoroughly clean clothes while also removing stains. This was a definite selling point for me because my fiance is the messiest eater I have ever encountered. Regardless of what he eats, he’s wearing some it by the time he’s through, so I battle food stains often. I have also taken up gardening this year and we have a rather large yard to maintain, so we frequently walk into the house covered in several layers of dirt. A detergent that can leave our clothes spotless while also removing tough stains sounded pretty amazing, and just what we need around here, and I am really happy to be able to say that that is exactly what we got with all® mighty pacs™.
all® mighty pacs™ are available in two varieties; original, which leaves fabrics with a light, fresh scent without being the least bit overpowering, and free and clear, which has the same cleaning and stain-fighting power as the original without the use of perfumes or dyes. I know a lot of people don’t like using laundry products that have a scent as it can sometimes be too strong, and while I don’t think that this is the case with the original, all® mighty pacs™ free and clear is a great option for those who are scent-sensitive, or who have sensitive skin or skin allergies that flare up when in contact with dyes and synthetic chemicals. Overall, I was super pleased with all® mighty pacs™ and it is safe to say that I found a new laundry brand.
