America’s Obsession with Michelle Obama’s Arms

Since before Barack Obama won the presidency and was campaigning for the chance to be America’s 44th President, America has been obsessed with Michelle Obama’s “right to bare arms.” We saw political analysts, news anchors, professional and respected journalists and of course, fashion magazines and celebrity media outlets talk about Michelle Obama’s fashion choices and most of all, why a lot of her fashion choices are missing sleeves.

Since the Obamas have been in the White House, this frenzy over Michelle Obama’s arms has only grew. But why? Does it really matter whether Michelle Obama wears dresses with sleeves or without? Are we really that bored that we have nothing else to do but obsess over why a stylists won’t tell this woman to get some cardigan sweaters with really, really long sleeves? Will her arms just not fit into sleeves because they are that toned and defined? Actually, a recent poll showed that we really don’t care. The Michelle Obama bare arms controversy just doesn’t rank that high up on our stories of interest meters. But that isn’t stopping the media from bringing the story up again and again.

Sarah Haskins who does the Target Women segments for Current recently put out a hilarious video on ‘Obama Arms.’ Check it out below:

  9. Micheles contribution to AMERICA…..

Let’s say you’re preparing dinner and you realize with dismay that you don’t have any certified organic Tuscan kale. What to do?

Here’s how Michelle Obama handled this very predicament Thursday afternoon:

The Secret Service and the D.C. police brought in three dozen vehicles and shut down H Street, Vermont Avenue, two lanes of I Street and an entrance to the McPherson Square Metro station. They swept the area, in front of the Department of Veterans Affairs, with bomb-sniffing dogs and installed magnetometers in the middle of the street, put up barricades to keep pedestrians out, and took positions with binoculars atop trucks. Though the produce stand was only a block or so from the White House, the first lady hopped into her armored limousine and pulled into the market amid the wail of sirens.

  10. Nice post.
I think she would be better wearing dresses with sleeves
