Ashlee Simpson May Be Heading Back to Broadway

Ashlee Simpson’s work schedule is all clear now since her storyline was wrapped up on Melrose Place which makes now the perfect time to lock in some future work. After appearing as Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical Chicago in London, rumors are circulating that she may return to the role in NYC.

Broadway spokesperson Jeremy Shaffer said he couldn’t confirm whether or not Ashlee would return to the Chicago cast, but he did confirm that Dancing with the Stars’ Cheryl Burke will not be appearing as Roxie Hart. Sounds to me like he knows Ashlee will be reprising her role, but of course can’t tell the public yet! And if she is offered the role again, she’s certainly going to take it since last year she commented to OK! “It’s a lot of hard work and it’s a great, fantastic show and I would love to do it again.”
