We cannot afford a public option. We already do not trust our politicians and now we are going to create a multi-billion dollar bureaucracy for them to play with. I suppose they are using the US Postal Service and Social Security Administration as they "job credits" to show what a good job they have done.

I disagree that the American people "deserve" health insurance. History shows that it is a benefit to entice workers to choose to work for one company or another. If you make enough money you can purchase your own plan if your employer does not provide it. As with all government programs, if you give it to the people for free what incentive do they have to go out and improve their own station in life.

This country was scratched out of this earth by pure ambition for a better life. The pioneers did not "deserve" a better life, they made one. As so can everyone today. We need a nation of givers, not takers.
