I received a Bavarian Maiden Beer Girl Gretchen adult costume from Sexy Costume Discounters for review. No other compensation was received, and opinions are my own.

This costume plays off classic beer girl costumes. It is one dress with a full-length back zipper that is sexy, the colors are really pretty, and I am impressed with the amount of small details and accents that have been added to make the costume really stand out.

The dress has a white, off-the-shoulder top with an unobtrusive floral bow attached to the outside of each of the short sleeves. The attached brown corset is lined with green and pink floral fabric that can also be seen along the bottom hem of the dress, is laced with a pink silk ribbon, and brown ties go around your neck to secure the top of the dress halter style. The bottom of the dress is a beautiful spring green color with an attached white with pink stripe apron. Also included with the dress are a pair of thigh-high stockings with the same floral bows on the front to complete your sexy beer girl costume.

This costume features significantly more detail than I have seen incorporated in most other sexy costumes out there of the same or better quality. This is a huge bonus, being someone who loves playing dress up and strutting around in fun costumes, but not always finding costumes that really blow me away when it comes to the attention to detail.

This really could have been an ideal costume. I love the style and the colors, and the quality is great. Unfortunately, despite pouring over the size chart, I ended up with a costume I love that does not fit properly.

According to the size chart on the Sexy Costume Discounters website I should most definitely be able to fit into their size large. However, once trying it on and adjusting, holding my breath, zipping, and more adjusting, it became clear that it just wasn’t going to work. I did eventually get it on, kind of, but it was not comfortable or probably safe. That being said, it’s pretty safe to say that the Bavarian Maiden Beer Girl Gretchen costume runs small, so bare that in mind when ordering.

I really wish this dress worked out better for me. Oh the fun of versatile sexy beer girl costumes.
