I have been an atheist since approximately the age of 12. Before then I attended mass twice a week in addition to Sunday school and even taught summer bible camp for children. However, I noticed that as soon as I started asking questions about faith and what I had been taught throughout the years and really read into what I was being taught, Catholicism or any god-worshiping religion was not for me simply due to the fact that I could not believe that a god really existed for me. If we weren't connected to something greater than us or as some people like to call it "a steam of well being," our bodies wouldn't be so miraculously able to heal.
