I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Air Wick. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
When someone walks into your home, your hope is that they immediately feel welcome and comfortable; but a lot more than your choice in decor goes into making a positive first impression on your house guests. One of the first things people notice when walking into a new place is its smell. Every house has its own unique scent, very much like the people who live in it, and it’s important to pay just as much attention to the scent of your home as you do with your placed-just-so decor items.
When it comes to home fragrance, I’m a big fan of wax tarts, or wax melts as they are also called. It helps that I have the coolest ceramic tart burner that sits on my kitchen table — a frog decorated in bursts of vibrant, eye-catching color. While I also have many candles around my house, they are mainly used as subtle decor items because I have three cats who chase each other around and have zero boundaries as to which surfaces they can jump up on, and it just isn’t possible for me to keep an eye on a candle to make sure it doesn’t get knocked over.

The unique and unforgettable fragrances found across the most spectacular national parks in the country recently made their way to my home. I received an Air Wick scented candle in American Samoa and a 4-pack of scented oils in the fragrances Grand Canyon, American Samoa, Hawai’i, and Denali.
As soon as I opened the box in which my new home fragrances arrived, I was immediately consumed by the scent of fresh, sweet coconut from the Air Wick scented candle–and it was amazing. One of my biggest issues with candles is that keeping the house stocked in this particular home fragrance option is not necessarily cheap, but the candle I received advertises right on the front of its box that it lasts for up to 40 hours. That is a good amount of use for one candle! The fragrance, which contains rich essential oils, creates an inviting scent absolutely perfect for summer, and it is completed by poured into a frosted glass that easily adds a special touch to any room.
While I am impressed by both the fragrance and quality of the Air Wick National Park Collection scented candle, it has nothing on the scented oils. No, really, the scented oils are incredible. No flame to keep an eye on, lasts for a month or more, and because they plug in, they can be conveniently hidden behind a desk, buffet table, or any other type of furniture you may have.
The scented oil plug-in diffuser was first placed in my home office and quickly began filling it up with the spectacular, sweet scent of the Grand Canyon, which almost immediately became my favorite fragrance of them all. Within minutes the fragrance of the scented oil filled my small office and it took just that amount of time to realize that it would be better suited in a larger, more open space. The power these little oil bottles have is pretty great and just one could easily fill an entire floor of a house.
I absolutely love the Air Wick National Park Collection and am just a little disappointed that this is a limited edition collection and likely won’t be around forever. You know what that means–get ’em while they’re hot!
The National Park Collection is available in Air Wick’s full range of products that retail from $2.99 to $5.99 and is available now at all major retailers.
I’ve been wondering how this fragrance collection turned out but no one I know has tried them so I’m glad you reviewed them.
I love Air Wick products but I am like you…. we have 3 cats so candles are not used unless we are right there. I would love to try the American Samoa candle though…..
What a great idea for a scent collection. I’m not sure which one I want to try most…I really like tropical scents in the summer, so those sound really great.
