Go with a Mac or wait for Windows 7. If you have XP, get nice, free programs from download.com like Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, and Spybot Search and Destroy. Run them regularly, and the majority of people won't have a problem. AVG Anti Virus (free version) is a good one to grab as well. :) I mean this in the nicest way possible…Vista is terrible. You spend you whole time sitting on your butt. And usually you're a few seconds from the fridge.
