Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth on the Set of Sex and the City 2

Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth on the Set of Sex and the City 2

Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth were on the set of Sex and the City 2 Tuesday and lucky for us (us, referring to crazed, Sex and the City fanatics such as myself) many, many exclusive shots were taken of Mr. and Mrs. Big while shooting for the movie due out in 2010.

Here are some shots of classy, happy Carrie dressed in white:

Um, is it just me or does it look as if Sarah Jessica Parker got her lips done?

Classic Sex and the City Carrie power …

Titanic to Hit the Big Screen Again–This Time in 3D!

Titanic to Hit the Big Screen Again–This Time in 3D!

During Friday night’s conversational panel at Comic-Con that featured celebrated filmmakers Peter Jackson and James Cameron, they revealed that they might be revisiting some older projects of theirs now that 3D technology is becoming more widely used in theaters.

With his experience with the new and much-anticipated 3D film Avatar, James Cameron said that working on the film prompted him to look back on another big-budget, special-effects project and give it a 3D makeover. The 1997 film that held the attention of countless audiences and became a movie that stayed in the hearts and minds of every person who saw it, Titanic, will be “dimensionalized.”

I, for one, am super excited to see if this pans out and will flock to the theaters to see the indestructible ship destruct right before my eyes!

Peter Jackson said he would …

Ryan Reynolds Officially Cast as the Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds Officially Cast as the Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds landed the lead role in the live-action movie adaptation of the DC comic book Green Lantern. The studio is working on the movie’s budget, but production is scheduled to begin in January.

It’s great to see Ryan Reynolds coming up in a serious movie, already making waves to be a hit, and not merely the insert kinda sorta funny man here in some comedy that has already been done a thousand times over.

Greg Berlanti wrote the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Berlanti will also be producing the movie with Donald DeLine.

First Look at Tim Burton’s Remake of Alice in Wonderland

First Look at Tim Burton’s Remake of Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton’s remake of classic book and movie Alice in Wonderland is set to hit theaters in Spring 2010, but the hype for this remake has been accumulating for many years now. Some information on the Alice in Wonderland remake, which will hit theaters in 3-D, has been released and after seeing the cast (so far) along with photos of their looks, I have to say that I am not surprised. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books and movies of all time and always has been and after seeing what Tim Burton did to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I’m very, very skeptical about what is to become of my beloved Alice in Wonderland.

The cast for the remake didn’t bring any big surprise either, besides perhaps the casting of Alice, who will be played by 19 year old unknown Mia …

Movie Review: “Born Into Brothels”

Movie Review: “Born Into Brothels”

Born Into Brothels is a chilling documentary that brings you right into the red light district of Calcutta, India. Instead of its focus being on the lives of the sex workers who make up the majority of the females in the city, this film instead brings you into the lives of the children who were born into this place. The girls who are bred to take after their mothers and grandmothers as prostitutes, and the boys whose lives will be full of acts of crime in order to get by.

Photojournalist Zana Briski lived in Calcutta for several years and she teamed up with Ross Kauffman to make this film. People who reside in Calcutta typically become enraged when faced with the possibility of their picture being taken; even worse, the women are terrified …

Pollyanna Teaches Us there’s Always Something to be Glad About

Pollyanna Teaches Us there’s Always Something to be Glad About

I recently saw the Walt Disney classic Pollyanna for the first time and I have to say, it is truly a timeless classic that has not lost one ounce of its memorable, heart string-tugging spark through the years.

Pollyanna is a delightful, feel good movie about a young child who newly orphaned from her missionary parents, is sent to live with her Aunt Polly in Harrington Town. Though life looks promising for Pollyanna, she soon comes to realize her aunt’s obsession with local politics and insistence on modesty and propriety. The people of Harrington Town are not too much of a stone’s throw away from the people many of us have run into during our lives; they are bitter and exhausted with life, they are obsessed with the lives and affairs of others, they want more out …
