One of the first positive lubricant experiences I ever had was when trying out Sliquid Organics Silk. Regardless of what I used it with, whether it was actual sex, hand-on-vulva masturbation, or with any sex toy I pulled out of my stash, it lasted a good, long time without ever becoming the sticky, irritating mess that came with a lot of other lubes I had tried before. I expected about the same level of performance from the other Sliquid lubricants, and then I received Sliquid Oceanics.

Sliquid Oceanics sounds like a dream lubricant when you read its list of positive attributes. It is a body-safe, vegan-formulated, water-based lube that is glycerin and paraben-free, making it a completely safe substance to use when you need it, without having to worry that your body may revolt against you, surprising you with an infection or rash when you wake up the next day. I have been known to develop some pretty angry urinary tract infections after any change in something as small and seemingly insignificant as soap, so when it comes to lube, body-safe formulas are key, especially if they are vegan and therefore all-natural. Sliquid Oceanics also contains certified botanical extracts that aid in the supporting and healing of the body, including aloe, green tea, sunflower seed, hibiscus, flax, and alfalfa. Perhaps most impressive is the addition of carrageenan, an ingredient that after sufficient lab testing, has been seen to help prevent the spread of HPV, the Human papillomavirus.

HPV is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections; so common that about half of all men and more than 3 out of 4 women have HPV at some point in their lives. Although most HPV infections have no harmful effect at all and go away within 8 to 13 months, some types have the ability to lead to cervical cancer and other genital and throat cancers. A lube containing an ingredient that has been seen to help prevent the spread of this infection? Yes, please.

For how downright impressive Sliquid Oceanics is on-paper, so to speak, I was less than thrilled with its actual performance.

The first time I used Sliquid Oceanics, it was with the Beyond 1 g-spot vibrator, then again (and again and again) with the Lelo Ina dual-stimulator vibrator. Each time, the Sliquid Oceanics lube got sticky and just about dried up completely within 15 minutes, if that. Both the Beyond 1 and Ina are made of silicone, which if you have even more than a handful of toys, you know is one of the best materials to have your toys made of. But I moved onto other materials and had my partner use Sliquid Oceanics with his Fleshlight. He had very much the same experience. Now I don’t know how long it takes the “average” person to climax, but when I use toys, it takes a considerable amount of time longer than when I’m having sex with someone. I used this lubricant with my partner and after about the same amount of time, it began to feel sticky just like it had before. The sensations weren’t as uncomfortable as they were when it had begun to get sticky when I was using my toys, but the stickiness factor was indeed there.

The experiences that I had with Sliquid Oceanics were really surprising, especially considering how much I really liked the first and only other Sliquid product I had tried before this one. Now, Sliquid Oceanics has been put to use only when I use toys that function solely as clitoral stimulators when I want a nice, slippery surface. For this purpose, it has worked quite well, but it is definitely a shame that it hasn’t worked as well for all of the other ways I could put it to use.

Good Vibrations was generous enough to allow me the opportunity to try out the Blossom Organics Warm Sensation Moisturizing Lubricant.

The packaging of Blossom Organics products is very pretty and girly. It comes in a white and purple box adorned with small flowers here and there and the 4oz bottle inside is decorated with the same colors and art. I have used this lubricant several times–while having sex, using a variety of different toys made from different materials, using my hand–and simply, it is a lube that provides moisture for a fair amount of time without the worry of health and skin-related issue or incompatibility with toys or condoms. I say that is provides moisture for a fair amount of time because the first time I used the Warm Sensation Moisturizing Lubricant, after about ten minutes of having sex, I wanted to stop and reapply. I didn’t, but the sensation of needing a little more of a slick and slippery surface was definitely there. I felt it again when using a dildo and again with a few different vibrators. While it provides a sufficient amount of moisture for a little while, I always want to apply more after a, what I deem to be, short amount of time. This lubricant is also meant to provide a warming sensation and it does this with the use of peppermint instead of using harsh chemicals, so yay for that! The first time I used this lube I found myself concentrating, trying to find the warm sensation. It was a lot more subtle than I thought it would be, but hey, I hadn’t used warming lubes before using Blossom Organics, so I didn’t know exactly what I was supposed to be feeling. Due to the presence of peppermint, it provides this subtle warming sensation by opening up the pores which initially sends a cooling sensation over you that evolves into a warming sensation.

Blossom Organics Warm Sensation Moisturizing Lubricant is water-based, which is how it is completely safe to use with any and all sex toys you own, including your silicone toys. It is also glycerin-free and latex-friendly, so you can use it safely and easily with condoms. It is safe for seemingly all skin types, even those who usually have skin irritation and other problems arise from using other brands of lubricant, and it is pH balanced for women, which essentially means, in Holly-speak, that it won’t make your vagina angry. Nothing is worse than an angry vagina.

I would have liked Blossom Organics Warm Sensation Moisturizing Lubricant more if I didn’t feel like it dried up in such a short amount of time. However, it’s easy to just apply more, albeit a little annoying. When it does become dry, it doesn’t flake or chip, it’s just very literally not there anymore. I was impressed by the amount of moisturizing going on with this moisturizing lubricant. Every time I use it, if I don’t immediately shower afterward, it leaves my skin very soft, which I’m writing down in the “pro” column.

So if you’ve been looking for a completely safe lube with a subtle warming kick to it, check out Blossom Organics products. You can feel good about using it because of it’s USDA organic status, and it works for any and all intimate encounters, whether you’re solo or with a partner.

I have explored and tested a few different lubricants; not a ton, but I’m one of those people who when I find something I like, I tend to stick to it and not rock the boat too much. This is especially true when we’re talking about chemicals and ingredients that have the ability to irritate your skin if you don’t pay special attention to what is used in something you’ve decided to try. Fascinations recently gave me the opportunity to try out a new lubricant made specifically with a woman’s needs in mind.

Pink Water is a water-based lubricant that is glycerin free and is fortified with Aloe Vera, making it extremely gentle on your skin and it’s safe for those of you out there who have to worry about allergies and skin irritation.

The first thing you will notice about Pink Water is that it is not merely a ‘flip cap open and squeeze desired amount of lube onto your hand, fingers, penis, toy, etc.’ kind of lube. It has a very classy and just plain pretty bottle, which is plastic so it won’t break if it falls onto the floor, gets thrown into your bed table drawer or toy box, or if you have the undying urge to play catch and it’s the only thing around. There is a pale blue cover protecting where the lube is dispensed from which can easily be taken right off and when it is, you see that this lube has the best spout ever! Just by pumping the top of the bottle, a small portion of lube is dispensed. The lube does have a tendency to drip onto the bottle itself and dribbles a bit, but the excess lube can be easily wiped away.

One of the best things about Pink Water is that it doesn’t take a lot to get you sufficiently lubed up. Just two to three pumps of the dispenser will give you enough to last a while and a little goes a very long way. After a significant amount of time, I’d say around a half hour or so, it can become sticky but I think that has more to do with your natural fluids mixing with the lube itself. Pink Water is a highly concentrated formula, but washes off skin and sensitive areas very easily so you won’t be washing for what seems like forever wondering when this slick liquid will finally leave your body.

Since I received my bottle of Pink Water, I have not used any other lube; I haven’t even thought another type of lube I have would suit a specific need better because Pink Water does the trick for me every time. It is safe to use with all of my toys, even my lovely silicone toys, and it has been extremely gentle on my skin and body. The only thing that Pink Water failed to lube up sufficiently and comfortably was the recently-reviewed Taffy Tickler Water Buddy and well, after reading my review you will understand that nothing could make that a comfortable experience, so I’m not holding that against it.

I love my Pink Water, it is definitely something I would buy again and again and I think anyone out there in the market for some phenomenal lube should definitely give it a shot.

While I have had pretty uncomfortable experiences with lube, that was all before I tried Sliquid Organics Silk lube. Admittedly, this is the first Sliquid product I have used, but I am super impressed; I absolutely love it.

Sliquid Organics Silk is water-based and also contains 12% hypoallergenic silicone which makes this lubricant creamy in texture, rather than what I call “gloopy,” as you have most likely noticed with almost all other brands of lubricant on the market. I have definitely put this lube to this test, using it for both vaginal and anal intercourse, as well as for masturbation and the first thing I noticed with it is that I never had to reapply; I applied it once and that was it, it stayed wet and comfortable for the entire duration. This made me ecstatic because like I said before, when using lube of any other brand I was reapplying several times.

In addition to its great lasting power, Sliquid Organics Silk is a great choice for delicate, sensitive issues. As a woman who frequently gets urinary tract infections for pretty much any reason, the morning after using this lube the first thing I thought was “Here’s hoping my vagina isn’t mad at me!” and luckily, it wasn’t. It also includes organic extracts like aloe vera, which is very soothing to the skin, vitamin E, and also invigorating green tea and hibiscus. And while it’s completely organic and body-friendly, it is also very Earth-friendly because once you get through the bottle, it is 100% recyclable!

After reading a great deal of completely varied reviews of Good Head gel, I decided that I had to try it for myself. I am a firm believer that when you introduce anything new to your bedroom, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, it does make an impact on your overall experience; especially if you have been with the same partner for a number of years. It is always a great idea to mix it up a little bit and Good Head gel seemed like it could be just what I was looking for; something small that I hoped would add a little more excitement and enjoyment to the experience of giving my man good head.

Overall, I was very impressed with Good Head edible gel. I tried it in the Mystical Mint flavor and while it does taste a little like toothpaste, pretty much anything with a thick, mint flavor is going to remind you of the taste of toothpaste. I would warn people trying it for the first time not to use too much because at first, I squeezed out a nice line down the shaft and the texture was way too gel-like in my mouth; I know what you’re thinking, ‘Hey genius, didn’t you read the name of this product?’ and while I did, I just happened to use a little too much at first, so be warned.

This gel isn’t just for the person giving good head, it is also for the one receiving. While I can only vouch for the mint flavor, my boyfriend said that he did receive a pleasant, tingly feeling that he loved.

Good Head gel definitely exceeded my expectations as well as my boyfriend’s and I highly recommend it for any couple looking to add that little something to going down.

You will need:

• 17.05oz high quality dark chocolate (semi-sweet or bittersweet) chopped
• 13.5oz cream
• 1/2 bunch mint, finely chopped
• 1 chili pepper, finely chopped
• double shot espresso

1. Divide cream into 3 indivdual pans.

2. Add mint into 1 pan, chili into the second pan and espresso into the third pan.

3. Slowly warm each pan to a near simmer and remove from heat allowing flavor to infuse for 15 minutes.

4. Place dark chocolate in a small bowl and set over a small saucepan of barely simmering water. Stir this constantly until chocolate melts.

5. Remove pan from heat.

6. Divide chocolate into 3 small pots.

7. Return pans of cream to heat and once hot, strain each pan of cream into 1 chocolate pot, creating 3 separate flavored chocolate body paints.

Get a soft paintbrush and let your imagination take over!
