Full PlayStation Network Services to Return This Week (Fingers Crossed)
It has been an exceptionally long 41 days for PlayStation users. Since the hacker attack in late April that compromised the private information of about 77 million users, loyal fans and PlayStation gamers have not been able to log onto the PlayStation Network and/or access the Qriocity music service and PlayStation store.
Since the first attack, as well as a second against Sony Online Entertainment that was discovered on May 2, Sony has announced the return of online services three separate times. Each time, progress has been delayed. Today, Sony has once again announced a time of restored service–the end of this week.
In a press release from the company, Sony assures users that they “have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely …
Anticipated Video Games to Look Out for in 2011
I am very much into video games. I always have been, since I was a child and my dad would frequently bring me to an arcade where I developed some pretty amazing skills at air hockey and Virtua Fighter, which I’m still rather fantastic at today. Recently, I’ve been playing a whole lot of Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops on the PlayStation 3.
Quite a few highly-anticipated video games will be released throughout 2011. Here are a few that gamers have been excited about for some time now.
Little Big Planet 2
Join Sackboy in a completely new platforming adventure spread across 50 levels.
Some time has passed since the events of the original game and its PSP sequel and Craftworld is in trouble. An evil device, force, thingy known as “The Negativitron” is …
The PlayStation Move: Everything You Need for an Enjoyable Family Night In
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.
So, let me tell you a little story.
One night when all that could be heard throughout the house was the sound of cars splashing through puddles outside that had accumulated after hours of endless rain and five-second soundbites of the television channels being flipped from one heinously boring show to the next, immense boredom fell over everyone inside. After working all day behind a computer, I was terribly sick of the internet and there were no movies or books that seemed appealing. It was cold, rainy and gloomy outside and I was bored to tears. Suddenly, a little genie appeared in my living room. I don’t know how he got in, I had locked all the …
Rock Band 3 Full Setlist Released
The setlist for the upcoming Rock Band 3 is the most diverse collection of music to make it to the game thus far. The reason this collection is so diverse and the people behind the game had so much more leeway with what could be in the game is because of the addition of a playable keyboard and of course, the standard guitar, bass and drums will also be there.
Rock Band 3 will be released on October 26th, but you can pre-order it now from Amazon. It will be available for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS.
Here’s a list of all the music that you’ll be able to rock out to once you get the game.
2000s:
Amy Winehouse – “Rehab”
At the Drive-In – “One Armed Scissor”
Avenged Sevenfold – “The …
Guitar Hero is Now Available on Your iPhone
Guitar Hero is hands down one of the hottest and most coveted games to have ever hit the market. It has been a huge hit with pretty much every age group out there who can pick up a plastic guitar and press its buttons, from small children to the elderly. Since its debut in 2005, Guitar Hero has raked in more than $2 billion and it was really only a matter of time before it was taken to the iPhone level.
News of the arrival of Guitar Hero to the iPhone was announced during yesterday’s WWDC conference just before the news broke of the new iPhone 4.
It will cost you $2.99 to get Guitar Hero on your iPhone and contains the same features and functionality you’ve grown accustomed to in the original, …
Xbox Auctioning Off One-of-a-Kind Consoles for Charity to Mark 1 Million Sold
To celebrate the milestone of selling 1 million Xbox 360 consoles across Australia and New Zealand, Xbox is auctioning off one-of-a-kind consoles painted with some favorite–and not-so favorite–celebrities from TV, sports, music, radio, fashion and those who just so happen to be celebrities for a reason we still can’t figure out.
The money raised from the auction will go to the David Peachey Foundation, founded in 2004 by former rugby league international David Peachey. The foundation provides educational scholarships and overseas exchange opportunities for school students in Australia, allocates sporting grants to talented indigenous youth, support youth through mentoring and cultural immersion camps and delivers education, health and sports programs in regional and remote indigenous communities throughout Australia.
Some of this week’s featured consoles going up for auction include Russell Crowe, Kelly Rowland and …
