We have all seen the spring and summer emails coming in from our favorite stores we receive email alerts from. I have been known to complain about these emails, shouting in their bold-faced type that it’s almost spring and time to buy flip flops, which isn’t surprising since at this exact moment, I am sitting in front of a window watching inches upon inches of snow layer the ground. Hopefully spring will come to Northeastern Pennsylvania soon because I am getting ridiculously tired of snow and to prepare for those spring and summer seasons, Old Navy has a ton of styles, colors and sizes for all the men in your family.

The Old Navy FUNdamentals Sale is well underway and from now until March 4th you can get baseball tees, v-neck tees, boxers and socks for just $5, shorts for $15 and cargos, khaki and jeans for just $19. It may feel like summer has just started, but school will be back in session before you know it and for all of those college-bound, this means gearing up for not just a school year, but for a new way of life. For many, this will be the first time you’re living away from home which can be exciting, scary, and most of all resonate the question “Where am I getting the money for everything I need?” in your head repeatedly not only while getting ready for campus life, but throughout your college stay.
Luckily, Sears CampusReady has you covered! Sears knows that dorm rooms must feel and function like home, because it is going to be your home for the next school year. They have put together a completely interactive website to get your head in the game and successfully (and don’t forget efficiently!) get all of your school and dorm room shopping done with as much ease as possible!
They have a completely interactive checklist so you can keep track of everything that you have bought and it also prints out so you can take it with you on in-store excursions and still keep track of everything you have and everything else you need. They are also making shopping easier by giving you a shop by need option, making it easy to point, click, and buy whatever you need for eating, sleeping, cleaning, and playing! They have also put together interactive photos of dorm rooms to give you ideas for decorating and the functionality of your own dorm room; and if you spot something in their examples that you just have to have, just click on the + image near the object and you can purchase it right from that page!
If you’re one of the many college-bound, or a parent of the college-bound, your mind may be racing trying to think of what can be done in order to have the money to purchase everything you’ll need for the school year. Sears is also one step ahead of you there. They have put together a page of tips and tricks on creating a budget–and sticking to it. It’s important to spend wisely, so consider what you’re spending your money on and if possible, look for good deals. Some words of advice Sears gives you is to hold potluck parties instead of going out and spending money on decadent dinners that will make your bank account sad. You can also buy books used instead of new; for the most part they are exactly the same and you’re most likely not going to use your school books after the class is over so why buy it new? For the same reason, find a student in need when you’re finished using the book and make sure it gets a good home; even the simplest of tasks can make Mother Nature happy. Instead of spending money on taxis or buses, rise your bike; it’s free and a great source of exercise. Sears also give college students great tips that will save their financial future as they get older; tips on how to protect your credit!
Sears has also come out with re-loadable gift cards; available in Sears and Kmart stores that are distributed to both the student and parent. The parent can load funds onto the card either in store or online to help their student financially.
Sears has also created CampusReady on Facebook that helps you get campus ready–Facebook style.
The Facebook application includes a Gift Center where funds can be loaded onto the Sears gift cards to help find the perfect products for college. There is also a dorm room designer that lets you completely design your own dorm room in 3D before you even step foot on campus. There’s also a fun treat called the Roommate Matchup that lets you see what you and your new roommate have in common…or what you don’t have in common!
Sears’ attention to detail ensures that each and every soon-to-be college student is campus ready for when they first step foot on campus and take in the new surroundings of their new home away from home.![]()
Hope you don’t have any plans you can’t cancel for tomorrow because Kmart Bluelight Specials are back!
If you remember Kmart’s Bluelight Specials from the past, you know that there are unbelievable savings to be had–in fact, there will be over 40 great Bluelight Specials throughout the day in-store as well as other great offers that will be available online at Kmart.com.
Since we moved into our apartment (over a year ago!) my partner and I have been using our bedroom as more of a junk room than anything else. It is the neglected room of the place that has never been organized. The entire room consists of piles of junk that we have yet to put in a place and because we don’t have a washer/dryer hookup and never seem to make enough time to do laundry at a laundromat or a family member’s house, of course piles of clothes have stacked up around the room. All of that considered combined with the fact that our bed is just two stacked mattresses on the floor, and you can pretty much guess what I would be looking for during Kmart’s Bluelight Special sale.
I would love to get our bedroom cleaned up once and for all, maybe get some cute containers for knickknacks and other doodads that are taking up space in the bedroom, some bedside tables, and a sturdy (but cheap) bed frame would be nice. Kmart Bluelight Special prices are being put on virtually everything in the store from patio furniture, to grills, to jewelry, so hopefully they will have some things that will make cleaning up my bedroom and turning it into an actual bedroom a lot easier!
You are definitely not going to want to miss the Kmart Bluelight Special, so clear your schedule for tomorrow and save on things you need! Also be sure to follow Kmart on Twitter @kmartdealsnnews.
As much as I love shopping for clothes, I find myself helping my male counterpart shop for clothes much more often than for myself. The reason for this is because I can pretty much find any article of clothing I’m looking for in my size at a variety of different stores, but run into quite a bit of trouble looking for pants that will fit my boyfriend perfectly or dress shirts that don’t make him look like his chest is going to tear the shirt wide open if he breathes a little too heavily. Big and tall men have a hard time finding clothes because like women, men come in a variety of different sizes and shapes, yet not too many stores and retailers will cater to the many shapes and sizes of men.
If you’ve had similar experiences when trying to find perfectly-fitting clothes for your men built like football players, the easiest and stress-free route to take is to shop at stores exclusively catering to Big and Tall Clothing. These types of retailers will most definitely be your saving grace when shopping for clothes because they truly understand and embrace the fact that not all men can fit into the clothes that are sold at major retailers. Whether you’re looking for Big and Tall shirts or Big and Tall pants in a variety of different fashions, styles, and cuts, by shopping Big and Tall outlets, you will be able to find exactly what you’re looking for in a size that fits perfectly.
If you’re looking to save money, especially on clothes for everyone in the family, the best advice I can give you is to shop at the beginning of a season. As spring begins to roll in, many stores are putting their winter and fall clothing and accessories on clearance to clear out their current stock and make room for the new season’s arrivals. They need to get rid of what wasn’t sold throughout the season because by next year, who knows what may be fashionable?
As soon as a new season begins to make its appearance, many stores have amazing sales and in this season, Sears is one of them.
Sears is currently running a huge clearance sale, offering 75-85% OFF on their fall and winter apparel from now until April 18th. I went shopping just yesterday to steak out a few good sales and Sears has the very best sales I have seen this season, hands down. One of the biggest trends we have been seeing is business suits women’s apparel, which Sears offers a variety of styles, colors, and sizes of this trend definitely worth a look or two.
A sale offering 75-80% off of anything is unheard of and something to definitely check out, especially considering their sale items extend to not only women’s apparel, but also apparel for men and children. In this economy, this sale is absolutely astonishing!
What if you could find out when your favorite brands of clothing went on sale in exactly your size? Let’s face it, as women, a lot of us have a “thing” for labels, but when scouring the websites of the labels we love, we find apparel we cannot live without… until we see the price tag. When it comes to labels such as Marc Jacobs and Prada, we are likely to find a handful or more of “can’t live without” items, but as soon as we glance down at the price, it’s easy to feel like your finger just got pricked while reaching inside of a box, and you immediately close the website. What these fashion icons have yet to realize is that there are a lot of women who love their designs, but not all of us can stomach what our favorite pieces would do to our bank accounts and credit cards.
But now we have Shop It To Me, a website that lets you pick your favorite designers (listing over 500 in-demand designers and brands) and receive daily or weekly emails to let you know when your favorite designers put items on sale in exactly your size; best of all, the service is completely free.
Look at it like having a personal shopper, but with this, you don’t have to deal with conflicting attitudes and style; you just receive a daily or weekly summary that lets you know when your favorite items are on sale and it takes away the frustration I know I regularly deal with when trying to find my size in items I want.
But Shop It To Me goes a lot deeper than just that. Started by people with a keen sense of fashion who dealt with the same frustrations we all deal with like finding out about online sales too late to take advantage of them due to not having the time to scour the internet daily looking for sales on the items they wanted.
You can tell that the people behind Shop It To Me are a group who love fashion just by reading their blog. Paired with some wicked sense of humor and drool-worthy fashion items, their blog is a fast, fun and entertaining read. But there’s more! Yes, more! Shop It To Me also has an entire section featuring trendsetters from around the blogosphere.
The Trendsetters section shows an appreciation from Shop It To Me to many different bloggers running websites with a variety of themes, such as style, bags, shoes, celebrity fashion, deals and savings, men’s style, moms and kids, lifestyle, beauty and city fashions. Shop It To Me doesn’t simply show fashion love, they show blog love to others with the same interests and mission in mind.
Featured in publications like Daily Candy Deals and The Washington Post, Shop It To Me is gaining ground with fashionistas and enthusiasts everywhere; finally, there is a website that caters to the fashion forward and savvy savers in all of us. They bring frugal to fashion and with many, many women, that is an addictive and sometimes dangerous combination.
With the world’s population now doing the bulk of their shopping online and the people of the US, specifically, going through the first hurdle of a recession, we are now beginning to see the impact money makes on our lives and more importantly, the real value of a dollar. As a freelancer, I, along with other freelancers have spoken about how we feel the decline in income first and we have collectively been seeing the first few waves of an impending recession for months now. As someone who also shops online quite frequently, I have become a bit pickier about how and where I spend the money I do manage to earn.
Many stores will do the first leg of a sale online only, before it hits stores and they have also released online only coupon codes. Internet sales are important to companies and the convenience of online shopping is important to us. That is why I was thrilled to have come across a website that I have come to refer to as the bible of cheap online shopping.
Free Shipping.org is a website that tells you what stores are currently having promotions and where you can get the convenience of free shipping. You may come across a sale item on a store’s website but once you get through the checkout and look at the shipping costs you soon realize that while you did get a product a lot cheaper online than you would have at the store, you end up paying what you supposedly saved and then some just in shipping costs. Free Shipping.org lists the stores you want to shop at, the free shipping promotion they are running at the time and the promotional codes letting you save as much money as possible.

Their site is set up into several different categories containing over 800 stores so each and every single person who likes the convenience of online shopping should not miss out on any free shipping promotion. Free Shipping.org also gives you the added security of free shipping alerts, letting you know every time a store has a free shipping promotion.
Don’t spend more money than you have to when shopping online and visit Free Shipping.org for free shipping promotions at your favorite stores.
While Halloween is still a few months away, it is never too early to start planning; whether it’s costumes, party planning or home decorating, Halloween is the best time of the year–Or so was the motto where I was raised with a Halloween-obsessed grandmother that passed her love of Halloween onto me.
One key note about Halloween is that once September hits, all party stores go all out with decorating, carrying house decorations that by the time October rolls around, they don’t work anymore because of everyone “testing” the product out to see if it talks, plays spooky music, growls or cackles. To ensure that everything works and you get the costume, decorations and party favors and decorations as well as the time to effectively put everything together, a lot of people have turned to shopping online.
One of the most important things to take into consideration when buying anything online is price, especially when shipping and handling is involved. A great site that offers not only an extensive amount of Halloween costumes is Buy Costumes, a known and trusted retailer for all baby, child and adult costumes, party favors and decorations. Best of all, Buy Costumes doesn’t just specialize in Halloween items, but for all celebrations and parties including favors and costumes for the 4th of July, which is just around the corner.
Victoria’s Secret has recently started their semi-annual sale, which always bring a big smile to my face! The sale kicks off in store locations on June 19th and until then, you can enjoy several amazing clearance items shopping online!
The sales are fabulous, with bras being as much as 50% off and panties being as much as 60% off! I have found several items that are a great deal cheaper than they would have normally been and had to scoop them up. I got these ultra cute Angels by Victoria’s Secret ruffle-trim bloomers on sale for ($7.99, regularly $12) and because the “We also suggest…” feature is my downfall, I also had to get the sleep cami (2 for $30, on sale!)
This sale is amazing, so check it out!
