Check Out the Teaser for Lifetime’s Upcoming Movie “Liz & Dick”

Lindsay Lohan in Liz & Dick

I don’t know what it is about her, but I really want to see Lindsay Lohan do well in her life as well as in her career. Maybe it’s because she’s the same age as I am, and I grew up watching her lay the foundation for what many believed would be a highly successful career. Maybe it’s because I don’t think it’s fair that someone so young could launch and end their career before leaving their young adult years behind. Because of this, whenever Lindsay Lohan launches a new project or joins the cast of a new movie, I check it out, and I am doing just that with the upcoming Lifetime movie Liz & Dick. Lindsay Lohan stars as Elizabeth Taylor opposite Grant Bowler who plays Richard Burton.

On the set of Cleopatra, Hollywood’s most beautiful star, Elizabeth Taylor, fell into the arms of one of the world’s greatest actors, Richard Burton–and she didn’t leave. Their subsequent white-hot, scandalous love affair gave rise to the paparazzi and they became the most hunted and photographed couple on earth. Their rocky, passionate, relationship, born in front of the cameras, was subsequently captured in a series of films, including The V.I.P.s and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The last of the great, extravagant stars, flaunting diamonds, yachts, and private planes, they continually seized the headlines. They even divorced and married again–only to divorce again–but remain in each other’s hearts. This Elizabeth Taylor – Richard Burton story is a no-holds barred account of their undying, but impossible love.

Liz & Dick will premiere on Lifetime on November 3, 2012.

  • Jamie says:

Wow. I’m kind of impressed she got the role of Elizabeth Taylor. I’m curious to see how she does. And that picture doesn’t look like Lindsay at all, nicely done.

  • Jen says:

I completely agree with what you said. I really hope she does well in this.

  • Alexis Grace says:

I have to be honest—- I have very very little patience for Lindsey. During my LA tenure and my husband running a LA club, between us we had a couple of run-ins with her and she was just so painfully entitled.

But- I do think she is a tremendous talent and for her sake it would be great for that to be the focus instead of her behavior.
