Chic Question: Out of Style?

I have learned over the years that although trends come and go, they never come back “exactly” the same. I also believe that women need to purge their closets and refresh their wardrobes with a few new items at least once a year. If you haven’t worn it in a year, get rid of it.
We’ve all seen the episode of TLC’s What Not to Wear. They find women who are stuck in a fashion rut and reinvent them. Rules pointed out in this show are ones that every woman should live by. Women have to be flexible for so many reasons. Weight loss or gain, job change or aging are just a few of the things that might provoke a wardrobe overhaul. So often you think “Oh, I might fit into this again” or “This might be back in style someday.” I honestly see no point in keeping things in an area entitled “might.” “Might” takes up space and causes confusion when getting dressed.
Try to focus on wearing clothes that fit and make you feel fabulous. Update your wardrobe with a few new pieces and donate clothes that just don’t fit into your current style. Adding new accessories such as chic jewelry, belts, purses and shoes can make a big difference. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, but you do need to let go of the “out of style” and make room for the “I love wearing this!”

yeah, fit and comfortable, that’s the most important, and it’s not necessary to spend a lot of money

I often see someone wearing an article of clothing that resembles what I wore in the ’80’s – although with an updated look. While the out-of-date items bring back fond memories, I am so glad for the updted versions.
