For example, I’d like to tell about my feelings after buying a normal mattress and a bed, I’ve begun to feel great, I just can’t find a word. I do not have a back pain anymore. My wife also likes it. About any bugs, spiders and bugs – here I can only say that it’s a normal mattress. Incidentally this is one of the options I have such a mattress and a bed.

I see mattresses being thrown out even more nowadays. It’s mostly because of bed bug infestations that are becoming more common. It might be difficult to recycle these mattresses.

Mattress disposal is a huge necessity in most households. Especially for the people that still use old worn-out spring mattresses that get heavier over time as they fill up with bed bugs…

I’ve just bought a organic mattress and it’s texture is very comfortable. I’ve sold my previous one in a shop who are buying 2nd hand mattress.

this is a great idea. while most of us wouldn’t consider buying or using a secondhand mattress it is easy to forget there are unfortunately many people out there that would be very grateful to receive a secondhand mattress.

I am in need of a mattress. My air bed broke and I cant afford to buy a new one so I am sleeping on the floor. I try to find a free bed on craigslist but I am having trouble with people responding after I send them a email. Be careful – many places have restrictions on selling OR donating used mattresses. Sometimes even if you want to donate your mattress you may not be able to because of state regulations on bedding (see Massachusetts) or because of the recent ‘bedbug’ scares.

Ack… my ex just threw out our kids old bunk beds. I tried to talk him into donating or recycling them, but they were specially made for the bunks (which are dilapidated) and he didn’t think anyone else would get any use out of them. I hate throwing things like that out.

Through recycling the mattress we have we make money from it, yes it’s true.
I was interested with the cleaning instructions.
It helps me clean my matters effectively.

I was just wondering where to put my Mattress. I must have had it since i was about 8, i’ve turned it over enough times, and now the springs have gone. I just assumed you did take it to the tip, but i am quite a good person as far as recycling and environmentally freindly stuff goes. I have just bought a new apartment in Cardiff. All the windows are A rated energy efficient, and i have my own ‘recycling bin’ to separate all the bits. Its my own little eco-house! Well thank you for helping me with my old mattress. I think i might try and treat myself to a memory foam mattress, as when it gets old it will be easy to recycle at least!

Free trade is the Key and from an environmental prespective is fantastic. But to elaborate on the point Jj discussed

I’m expecting a day when free trade sites are subjected to some sort of crackpot litigation. Bed-bugs, skin diseases or some feigned injury…purely because some plonker decides they need more cash?

Glad you mentioned the cleaning issue – no one wants to get bed bugs. Actually, I think I’d have a difficult time using a “used” mattress but I love the fact that they can be recycled, didn’t realize that. Thanks for the very helpful information!
