My family, neighbors and friends really took their effort of switching off all their lights and until now we are still observing it. Hopefully others too will observe to fight climate change. <A HREF="http://www.ecokids.ca/pub/eco_info/topics/frogs/chain_reaction/index.cfm

I love to recycle! It get a good feeling from knowing that my waste will be used for something productive rather than being shoved into the earth. I want to live a green life as much as possible but I find it very challenging. Any suggestions?

I took part in Earth Hour. I switched off everything including the fridge and took a much-needed nap for an hour.

Apart from that, I generally do my bit - I recycle, only leave the light on in the room I'm in, bathe from a bucket instead of filling the bath, switch electricals off from the mains when not in use, that kinda thing.

Turning off the lights for one hour is a very small step for mankind. People need to realize how much more energy we can save by switching to energy efficient lighting such as CFLs. Earth Hour is a very good idea, but i hope we can expand the earth hour to raise awareness for saving water as well.

We were talking about how good this event was just a few days ago. We definitely need to raise awareness and do what we can to help out (as individuals). Thanks for the tips

It is very nice idea, but it is not enough. We must use electricty or water every time as needed.

Thank you so much for raising awareness about this! I wish we'd all do Earth Hour every week. Quick tip: one easy way to stop energy leaks in your home is, wherever possible/sightly, use surge strips. Don't just use them for your home office. It's pretty easy to unplug electronics, lamps and appliances around the home if you can pull one plug per room instead of many. It isn't always possible with decor/space constraints, but it's a start. :)

Thanks for the kind comment on my blog. Come on by and visit anytime.

I thought I was good to go for Earth Hour, then I realized I had forgotten to unplug all of those little buggers that suck energy when they are "off".

It's a good thing that people like you and Google are spreading the awareness of Global Warming. It's a bigger deal than some think and it's going to affect the lives of our grandchildren if something doesn't change.
