Economic Crisis Trumps War on Terror as Global Threat

Not long ago, people world-wide pretty much agreed that the most prominent global threat that we had to deal with would be the War on Terror. However, in just a few years the tides have changed, and so have our most prominent global threat.

The financial crisis has not only left America with millions of lost jobs and thousands of families left with the questions of how they are going to put food on the table, pay their bills and most of all, keep their homes. This crisis and obvious urgency for reform has begun increasingly affecting countries like China, Japan, Dubai and many others.

If you are one of the approximate eight million Americans in jeopardy of losing your home due to the outright economic meltdown, Brave New Foundation wants your stories (or the stories of your neighbors, friends, family and/or co-workers.)

Submit your story either by recording it with your webcam, sending in your video from YouTube, write your story using their form, or mail your VHS, DVD, or Mini-DVD to the following address:

Fighting For Our Homes Production

Brave New Foundation has already collected over a dozen videos from people across the country. Watch them here.

  • Revenue Bin says:

The terrorist have an advantage on everybody else right now, if they were to do something to a popular world market it could cause a depression!

  • Bingo says:

Yeah this now becoming a global threat. I wonder how much of this stems from 9.11 when the trade towers came down. Im sure alot of finacial figures and info got lost or messed up.

  • This is very interesting, as the economic crisis will impact everyone, even if you have not lost your job, you can feel the pinch within your industry of your career, as weaker companies will start to fail.

  • Nick says:

Its looking like we are set to have a long drawn out depression. Just saw on another site that there is no actual definition for when we are actually in a depression. Times are only classified as depressions after the fact when we look on them in the past. Thanks for the post.

  • I could have told you that the war on terror was useless. There is no way to win that war. But I guess trying to force people into a democracy way reduce the likelihood of an attack.

  • I think American think tanks and hawkish Israeli lobby tries to neutralize World emerging Chinese economy by destabilizing the South Asia region specially Pakistan. By blocking the access to warm water at newly build Gawadar Port in the Baluchistan Province of Pakistan.
