The Essential Couple Toy

remote butterly It can be incredibly easy to fall into a routine doing just about anything and while that may be viewed as a good thing, the last thing I want to be able to say about my sex life is that it’s routine. I wanted something that would significantly alter my sex life and make it a lot more exciting than I ever thought possible, which is what first appealed to me about the Remote Control Butterfly strap-on vibrator by Cal Exotics.

With this toy, play can take place virtually anywhere! It has a G-string style to it and straps on incredibly easily and the adjustable straps make it so that a woman of any size can get it to fit comfortably. It delivers hands-free vibrations via a very small, wireless remote that you can pop into your pocket or give to your partner while on your way out the door and can be taken to the grocery store, out to lunch, to the movies, to the house of your in-laws you really can’t stand–the possibilities are endless and no one will ever know that while you’re out in public, you’re wearing a strap-on vibrator that is sending delightful vibrations to your clit.

The small bullet vibrator is located at the bottom of this toy so that it can deliver localized vibrations to your clit and the two AAA batteries are tucked inside the top-half of the butterfly. It is made of jelly, so it is also very comfortable to wear for long periods of time over your pubic area, but the straps can dig into you after a while, kind of like a thong that is too tight if you have the straps adjusted too tightly around you in an effort to make the vibrator push up against you snuggly.

remote butterfly I work from home and spend most of my time in front of a computer screen, so the first time I used this, my partner and I decided I needed to mix a little play time within my work day. The remote reaches 15 to 20 feet away, which is a good range of distance and allowed me to give the remote to my partner while he was upstairs in his office and I came downstairs to the living room where my computer is located. This definitely made my work day a whole lot more fun and oddly, more productive. I guess a little motivation goes a long way. The butterfly stayed in place perfectly, but while walking and especially dancing or jumping around, although I can’t imagine why you would be jumping around, it can come away from your clit a little, making the vibrations a little less localized.

The vibrations were more powerful than I was expecting, but did fail to be strong enough to bring me to orgasm, but even with that considered, this toy is a whole lot of fun whether you’re using it in the house while you work or taking it out for a night on the town. I would advise not to wear tight pants while wearing the butterfly because it can look like you’re packing a little more than just a pubic mound, but feel free to wear baggier pants and jeans and a skirt or dress would be ideal. The vibrations sound just a little quieter than a cell phone on vibrate, so while taking it to a place where you can hear a pin drop wouldn’t be the best of locations for discreet play, taking it out to a movie, a bar or a busy restaurant would be perfect.

The remote control takes a 12V battery, which isn’t the most basic and easy to find batteries, but you will most likely be able to find them at a place like Walmart or Target. When turned on, a little red light will come on, but be sure to turn it off when you’re not using it and don’t forget about it because it can drain the battery. You can activate the vibrations via the remote with just a touch of a button; the vibrator is single-speed, which was a bit of a let down and I also found out that it is a bit of a battery-hogger. I got to use the butterfly vibrator two times before it died on me and I had to replace the batteries.

To wash, I just removed the battery compartment from the top of the butterfly and washed with warm water and a light soap. Because it is made of jelly, remember not to boil it. Unless you really don’t like it, anyway.

While there are some cons to this vibrator, I still think it’s the essential couple toy. It’s just so much fun!

They finally opened this product and marched me into fun. This product was a bit difficult to find, with missing directions. Then we went for the shower.

I just bought a similar toy, but haven’t tried it out yet so I can’t comment on pleasure or battery life. Instead of wearing it outside, this little gem is shaped like a very small egg – with a similar wireless remote control. Now we just need to find the time to use it!
