You’ll Really Feel Like a Princess in this Princess Babydoll

Princess Babydoll lingerie I have always loved lingerie. There are as many types and styles of lingerie out there that there are personalities and anyone can find something that fits their personal taste and needs in all the lace, mesh, satin, leather, sheer and vinyl possibilities. Whether it’s for Valentine’s Day (or Valentine’s Night), an anniversary, birthday or just a night you want to surprise your partner with a simple meal and an enticing getup, sexy lingerie has its place in anyone’s wardrobe.

I admittedly don’t have a wide array of lingerie. I have enough, but surely not as much as some women and most of my lingerie falls under the category of so hot you can’t help but tear it off of me immediately. I didn’t have that perfect piece of lingerie that while still sexy, is pretty to look at and appreciate. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to fill the vacancy in my lingerie wardrobe with the Princess babydoll with matching thong by Escante from Lingerie.com.

The Princess babydoll took a miraculous amount of time to arrive. Lingerie from Lingerie.com is shipped from New Jersey and being located in Pennsylvania, the package took only a day to arrive and it arrived in a standard brown box. Because I’m a professional blogger, I receive my fair share of packages and have come to be on friendly terms with my UPS deliveryman. It was about this time when I started to think my UPS deliveryman may think I’m a compulsive shopper, since he is here almost every day and has come to know the best time of the day where I will be awake and here to receive packages that must be signed for. When receiving the Princess babydoll, I looked at the return address and it clearly states on the label that the package is from “BareWeb, Inc.” and when I saw this, I was certain my UPS deliveryman was now thinking that I am not only a compulsive shopper, but I just may be a woman who makes her money through webcam internet channels. If you are looking for a completely discreet shopping experience and think the company name BareWeb, Inc. may raise some eyebrows, you’ll definitely want to be the first one at the door when this package arrives.

After opening the box I saw that this two-piece lingerie set was kept safe inside a plastic bag kept closed by a piece of tape. Because I’m one of those people who must see everything as soon as it arrives, I took it out of the bag and the picture from the website really does not do this piece justice. It is so much pretty up-close and I was thoroughly excited to get it on. Although I was super excited, I waited until that night to slip it on.

Princess Babydoll lingerie back The Princess babydoll and matching thong is made of ultra-sheer pink mesh and it has a great amount of detail to it. The pink mesh has a very subtle dotted design throughout and there is black embroidered hearts going along the top to outline the breasts and this same embroidery is also present at the bottom of the babydoll. What really pushes this piece over the top in terms of how adorable it is, is the moderately-sized black satin bow that rests just between the breasts. This bow is by no means large, it is small enough that it will not be obstructing anyone’s view and it definitely adds to the piece and makes it just that much prettier and enjoyable to wear, leaving you feeling sexy and flirty. The matching thong is crotchless and the area left open on the thong is accented by a small, sweet black bow that ties in perfectly to the top. The straps on the babydoll are adjustable for the perfect fit and made of black elastic, which is also what the matching thong is lined with. The entire set is stitched with pink threading and impeccably done. No frays or loose threads here!

I am a dress size 12, bordering on a size 14 when it comes to the size of my hips. I have been blessed with the family birthing hips, which has always put me in between sizes and finding clothing that fits me as well as it could is often frustrating. I received this babydoll set in a size large and was very happy that it fit so well. The thong did not feel like I was stretching it any way and the elastic did not dig into my skin. I loved how it felt and I looked–and felt amazing in it. The top was also an accurate fit for a size large, but one of my breasts is a little (okay, maybe more than a little) bigger than the other, making the adjustment process of the straps a little more involved, but I ended up getting the adjustment right so I wasn’t falling out of it anywhere.

The image on the website made me think that the top of the babydoll wouldn’t be so see-through until you got down to the black embroidered detail, but the entire piece is entirely super sheer. This wasn’t necessarily a disappointment because this is really an amazingly gorgeous piece, but it did surprise me a bit. You can see how easily it is to see through in the picture I took below against my very spring bedsheets.

If you wear any perfume, lotion or body butter while wearing this piece, you should know that the scent of your body products will stick right to this and you won’t be able to get that scent out until you wash it. According to the tag on both of the pieces, you can wash this in the washing machine on a gentle cycle; I, however, am paranoid, so I don’t wash anything that is this delicate in the machine. Instead, I hand wash with warm water and a very mild soap and let it hang over the shower rod. I have done this twice in a very short period of time and have had no problems with fraying mesh or threads coming loose, so it should hold up very well over time.

I love this Princess babydoll! I have worn it for very extended periods of time and have even slept in it comfortable, although my breasts did not stay entirely in the cups of this lingerie, specifically because the part that lies right beneath your breast is only threaded over maybe three or four times to provide a cupped area that makes it easy for you to fall out of if you’re moving around a lot. Other than that, I couldn’t recommend this enough to anyone looking for something nice and elegant to spice up a night inside.
