Three days ago, Disney nearly did what Kim Kardashian’s PR team had set out to do the last time we were told she was relevant — Disney almost broke the internet.
One day before the new short “Frozen Fever” premiered in theaters in front of the new live-action “Cinderella,” Disney confirmed that “Frozen 2” is officially in development, promising more winter weather ahead.
The news was announced at Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders on March 12 by Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company; John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer at Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios; and actor Josh Gad, who provides the voice of Olaf from “Frozen.”
This new installment of the “Frozen” story will bring back the Oscar-winning team: directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and producer Peter Del Vecho.
A release date and production details are yet to be announced, but when speaking about what we can expect from “Frozen 2,” John Lasseter said that “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it, and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
What about you? Are you excited about the upcoming “Frozen 2?”
