Games Galore for the Holidays
This holiday season there are a myriad of gift items that are hot, hot, hot! But now more than ever before, games are in super high demand. Best game titles of the year like Little Big Planet, Call of Duty 4 and Fallout 3 are some big favorites and titles like Rock Band and Guitar Hero have become staples for the past few holiday seasons. But there are also a lot of great online games that will appease the little gamer in your household without you having to take on an abundance of stress this holiday season looking all over the place for these hot ticket items.
In most cases, once someone completes a game and has solved all the puzzles and has been named victorious in the game they’ve been playing, it takes a long time for people to get the interest in that game back again, but online games have an appeal (and can also be very, very addicting) that they will actually hold the attention of your game-player for many months to come. I know I personally have a Playstation 3 and have played it maybe a handful of times in the year I’ve had it. However, I play online games a few times a day and with games like Burger Shop, Bejeweled 2 which every member of my family plays every free moment they have, and the beloved Diner Dash and every variation of that game that has come out in the past few years, they really end up having more of an appeal to game players of all ages.
So this holiday season, when your children are asking for those hot ticket games, you can also keep in mind that there are numerous online games (we’re talking like hundreds and maybe even thousands of different online games here) that they will also love and you can have them ready on your computer for Christmas morning without even leaving the house–or your computer, for that matter! How’s that for some hassle-free holiday shopping?

Very good site. Love the post, guitar hero and Rock band are still big ones. But you can as you say get alternative versions online or else play guitar for real.

I own both a PS3 and Xbox 360 and I have to say, Modern Warefare 2 plays a lot better on the 360. Ok so the PS3 might be the more powerful console, but it just doesnt have the edge that the xbox has FACT!
I don’t have Xbox360 but I m fine with my PS3 and as you described about the summer no reasons that why the most of the people engaged in gaming all the time. Good blog to share the feelings!
I totally agree, I am one of those people who get sick of games once I finish them. I think online games are fun while working. I only play them at work, and I wonder when the simple computer game is going to look like ps3 games.
I don’t have Xbox360 or PS3 I am very satisfied with PC and playing games with it
no bad!
PC gaming is far more quality I feel than the consoles, fallout 3 is great on PC
well well.. i agree… PC games are good! well.. because more games on playstation and xbox appears on PC too… right?
I like this post. I have played call of duty 4 and finished all stage.lol. I really love online games.
Last holiday, I tried doing so to my nieces and nephews. Its a good thing since they came earlier than what I’ve expected. As usual, I haven’t prepared the food yet. So, in order for them to enjoy, I introduced them to new games online.
One of my favourite addictive online games is Cubis, MSN games do one for free
I’ve got a PS3 but I spend pretty much all of my gaming time on the PC, normally silly online flash games
pc is THE best gaming platform out there and besides i cant play using a joystick anyway
Excellent article Holly. Online games can definitely be as addictive as retail games you buy at the store and there are so many free ones all over the internet! Even games that aren’t online have so much more appeal now that once you beat them you can buy DLC and continue your adventures. I have bookmarked your site! I look forward to more articles from you.
