I really love ice cream. As a child, whenever I thought the rules I was given were unfair or I was upset about something in my child world, my mental go-to was always “When I grow up, no one is going to tell me what to do, and I can even have two bowls of ice cream for dinner if I want!” Of course I know that ice cream isn’t a meal, but my love for it is no less fierce than it was then. Ice cream is incredible like that, you get older and it is still able to bring a child-like grin to your face.

Like any ice cream lover, I have my favorite flavors and my favorite brands, but my ice cream preferences were suddenly turned on their head when I was given the opportunity to try Graeter’s ice cream, including their first new flavor in three years that has just become available online, Black Cherry Chocolate Chip.

After my first spoonful of Graeter’s ice cream, I was making audible mmm sounds without even thinking about what I was doing. I then began laughing, because that is what I do when I have no words. I had no words for what was going on all over my taste buds. However, I do have the words now: absolutely delicious; amazing; downright phenomenal. Seriously, it was the creamiest, most indulgent ice cream I have had, ever.

The most powerful moment I experienced with Graeter’s, and what makes them so different from most other brands (there are quite a few things, but we’ll get to those later) is that I can pronounce every single ingredient listed on each pint of ice cream. Not only that, but I know what each of the ingredients are. You can’t say that about a lot of things in the processed, modified food world of today, but you can say that about Graeter’s, and that was really important to me.

Graeter’s Black Cherry Chocolate Chip ice cream is made of all-natural black cherry ice cream made with heavy cream, pure cane sugar, and is loaded with fresh black cherries and Graeter’s own signature big, velvety dark chocolate chunks.

I recently made some dangerously delicious chocolate chip and walnut fudge brownies. I paired the brownie with two small scoops of Graeter’s Black Cherry Chocolate Chip ice cream and it was easily one of the best dessert decisions I have made in a very long time.
