From the time temperatures begin to rise and hold steady marking the beginning of the spring and summer seasons, up until the temperatures start to plummet right back down again, I am all about shoes that can be easily slipped on and off at a moment’s notice. Summer is filled with many spontaneous get-up-and-go moments, and when we’re not running off to make the most of the warm (or hot and humid) weather, we are taking advantage of it by basking under the sun in our backyard. Low maintenance footwear is obviously a must for any woman during this particular season, and I was really delighted when I was approached by Havaianas to add a pair of their women’s sandals to my summer footwear wardrobe.

Havaianas has an astoundingly wide variety of sandals in pretty much every color and color combination you can possibly think of. Seriously, there are a lot, and it’s pretty great because regardless of what your personal style preferences are, you are bound to find a pair of sandals that you love. For me, those were definitely the HEROES Wonder Woman flip flops.

As soon as I saw these flip flops, I couldn’t resist them. The retro Wonder Woman print with the bright and colorful play on the old comic book Ben-Day dot effect is so cool, and I really like how the two flip flops create one overall image when placed side-by-side. I have been wearing these flip flops quite a bit throughout the past week and they are really comfortable. The bright pink straps are not only strong and durable, making them great on a purely practical level, but they also add a fun pop of color to any outfit I have worn them with, and they also match one of my bathing suits perfectly, so I anticipate them getting a lot of use this summer.

The first pair of Havaianas were created in 1962, inspired by the Zori, typical Japanese sandals made of fabric straps and rice straw soles. It is for this reason that the foot-bed of all Havaianas sandals have a textured rice pattern, an unmistakable feature that the brand is widely known for. The straps of Havaianas flip flops do not get loose and the sandal overall doesn’t lose its shape; these are really a quality product that you can wear all summer long without having to worry about them suddenly giving out on you. Have you ever had a flip flop suddenly break on you as you were walking, and of course you also happened to be out in public, maybe walking into a store? I have, several times in fact, and it is never fun.
