Jon Gosselin Says He Wants a Better Relationship with Kate, then Drains Joint Bank Account
Jon Gosselin really just topped the charts when it comes to WTF behavior.
Last week Jon Gosselin appeared on Larry King Live with his lawyer Mark Heller. He commented on his past choices in life (and there sure have been quite a lot of bad ones!) and said that he had an epiphany. He said, “I want Kate and I to mediate. I want us to become friends.” He also said that he wanted to postpone their divorce and establish a better relationship with Kate.
All sounds good, right? I mean, perhaps Jon re-evaluated his recent life choices, the shambles that was once his marriage and relationship with his eight children and thought ‘Wow, I really messed up. I need to fix this.’ But no, in fact, it actually turns out that Jon Gosselin, while certainly on a media blitz trying to repair his tarnished image (probably to pursue that whole solo reality tv gig,) was lying through his teeth. After a few mere hours of such heart-felt sentiment, Jon Gosselin was secretly emptying out he and Kate Gosselin’s joint bank account. He withdrew several hundred thousand dollars from the bank account, the same bank account that Kate routinely pays the family bills from. To make matters worse, he didn’t leave Kate and their eight children much to survive on, just $1,000. Yes, $1,000 to pay bills, shop for groceries, keep eight children in clothes, shoes, school supplies and other necessities. Yep, sounds just like a man who wants to mediate and form a better relationship, friendship or otherwise, with his estranged wife!
Jon emptying out the bank account were in violation of the Gosselin divorce arbitrator’s guidelines and when Kate found out what Jon had done, she engaged with a high-powered lawyer who immediately sent a letter to Jon demanding that the money be returned. According to RadarOnline, another lawyer for Kate will go to court in Pennsylvania on Monday to file papers demanding the money be returned.
Jon is clearly out for blood now, as if he hasn’t done enough to Kate and his eight children. To add to his slew of asinine actions, Jon recently demanded that TLC stopped filming his children, which a great deal of parents across the country have been saying as well, but I think the reason Jon is demanding that his children not be filmed is because TLC network announced that it was severely limiting his role on Jon & Kate Plus 8 and they also announced that they would be changing the title of the show to Kate Plus 8. So as I understand it, Jon is told that he is being phased out of the television show that made him and his family their millions and provided for the entire family and he decides that if he isn’t getting money anymore, he’ll just take the hundreds of thousands that he believes he is entitled to and then, as the father of his children, say that he doesn’t want his children being filmed for the show anymore because that would make Kate money and not him.
How much longer until Jon Gosselin completely self-destructs? Bets, anyone?
