Message of Acceptance Makes it to the Big Screen When We Need it Most

This holiday season, Atlanta-based Fathom Studios presents a tale of fast-paced action, a mystical world and a true call to action of acceptance.

Delgo

Delgo is a story about a divided land of two cultures, the Nohrin and the Lockni. When Delgo, a rebellious Lockni teenager forms a bond with Princess Kyla, a Nohrin, Delgo and his best friend Filo are falsely imprisoned by a power hungry, war-driven villain. The friends find that they must put their differences aside and work together to defeat the villain in order to save Princess Kyla. This is a story not only about defeating the villain, saving the princess and living happily ever after, but also about the world that we currently live in and how besides anything else that may be affecting us in our lives, we must be open-minded and accepting of others despite our many differences.

Delgo could not possibly have come at a better time with its message of acceptance, especially regarding race, while our country has become overwhelmingly divided due to our current wars and the election of our first African-American president. Throughout the years we have seen many animated movies that carry a very important, worthwhile message whether it has been about society, culture, environmentalism and so on and Delgo promises to be this year’s ultimate family-friendly movie carrying on hell of an important plea behind it.

Featuring the voices of many of our beloved actors such as Freddie Prinze, Jr., Jennifer Love Hewitt, Val Kilmer, Michael Clarke Duncan, Burt Reynolds, Kelly Rippa and many others, Delgo has also already been recognized in the animation industry as Best Feature Film by Anima Mundi 2008. It is rated PG and with a running time of 90 minutes, it is long enough to get its message across and short enough to keep the attention span of your children and even you adults out there.

Delgo hits theaters on December 12 and in the meantime, don’t forget to check out Delgo.com for movie trailers, computer downloads, images from the movie and many more fun goodies!

Its good to have a story like Delgo so that people can be taught in different morals..I like it..

  3. It’s true it has a great message, but the plot is something we’ve seen before. It’s great animation with plenty of action make it enjoyable to watch, but the message is what makes it worthwhile.
