First Look at “The Muppets… Again!” in Theaters March 21, 2014

The Muppets Again!

I am a fan of the Muppets. With every new movie that comes out, I downright refuse to believe that I may have aged out of their target audience. The great thing about the Muppets, however, is that no matter how old you get, they know how to entertain the adults too. In fact, it is quite genius on the part of the team behind the Muppets to build a fanbase of children and then know how to entertain those same people as they grow up and have children of their own–who are of course also introduced to the wonder and hilarity that is the Muppets.

If your family loves the Muppets, you will be thrilled to hear that they will be returning to theaters in 2014 with The Muppets… Again!, and the images in this post are the very first look we are getting at the movie.

The Muppets Again! Ricky Gervais

Disney’s The Muppets… Again! takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine–the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit–and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.

Disney’s The Muppets… Again! is directed by James Bobin and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Bobin co-wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John Scotti. Featuring music from Academy Award-winning songwriter Bret McKenzie, The Muppets… Again! hits the big screen March 21, 2014!
