Neil Patrick Harris to Host Emmys in September

Neil Patrick Harris

The star of How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris is officially scheduled to host this year’s Emmys to take place in September, live in from the Nokia Center in Los Angeles.

This position was most likely scored due to the job Neil Patrick Harris did hosting the Tony awards last month. When asked about the September award show, he said:

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of the show – adding my own voice to it, while honoring the nominees and the entire year in television. But which voice to choose? I’m torn between gangsta, foppish Brit, and robot. Really proud of my robot. We’ll see what happens on the night.”

For perhaps the first time ever, I’m actually looking forward to the Emmys this year just because they are being hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. I don’t have much knowledge of the show How I Met Your Mother, but what I have seen of Neil Patrick Harris is always hilarious. And yes, the robot voice would most definitely put a different spin on the show, to say the least.

Am so psyched about this. Like you, I’m not a ginormous fan of the Emmys, but will for sure be tuning in.

I keep meaning to Netflix HIMYM so I can start from the beginning…
