If you haven’t yet heard about Oasap–a website dedicated to high street fashion with literally hundreds of new clothes, shoes, accessories, handbags, and more being added every single day–it’s only a matter of time before you get completely drawn in, always wondering what new styles and hot trending fashion items they have added. That has been the case with me since I first discovered their website, anyway. I have seen a lot of bloggers talking about Oasap recently, especially since their Fashion Hunter Program launched, and if you’re a blogger who loves fashion, you can sign up for the Oasap Fashion Hunter Program here.
I recently had the opportunity to shop Oasap’s website and choose an item that I would like to receive for review. Honestly, choosing just one item was extremely difficult. They have such an extensive stock that even after I had a handful of products picked out that I really liked, I couldn’t help myself from going back and browsing some more just to see what other types of items and styles they had up for grabs. Ultimately, I chose the Peacock Feather Print Asymmetric Hemline Dress.
This dress is beautiful, in the picture on the website as well as in-person. I received it in ivory, and it is also available in green and navy. This dress comes in one size, as does a lot of clothing from Oasap, but don’t get this confused with “one size fits all/most” sizing, because in this case, one size means small. I have read quite a few reviews of Oasap’s clothing, and each person who brought up their sizing has agreed that “one size” is the equivalent of what we consider to be small/medium, but I would actually go as far as to say that it’s just small. Each article of clothing that is available in one size does have the measurements of the piece listed in the product description, and while I did measure myself prior to placing my order for this dress–more than once, in fact–when the dress arrived and I tried it on, it would not even come close to fitting over my chest. It seemed like it would fit everywhere else, I just couldn’t get it over the top of me. I was understandably disappointed. Here I was with this beautiful dress, perfect to end the summer with and enjoy the hot weather before we get several months of cold, wet, and snow, and I couldn’t do a thing with it. That is, until I got the great idea to turn it into a skirt.
The waist of the Peacock Feather Print Asymmetric Hemline Dress is bound with elastic, so I simply cut above the elastic all the way around, removing the entire top of the dress. I then folded the extra inch of fabric that was left over the elastic and secured it in place. The end result is an asymmetric hemline skirt with an elastic waistband that fits me perfectly, and looks as if it was supposed to be a skirt all along.
This item is made of 100% polyester, and while it does wrinkle easily, especially after coming straight out of the washer, a quick once-over with the iron will easily fix that issue. I have worn this skirt several times, and it is very lightweight and incredibly comfortable–perfect for the tail end of the hot and humid days of summer, just as I had originally thought it would be. The fabric and print make it extremely versatile, and it can be worn for a variety of different occasions, whether it’s an event that calls for a little dressing up, or simply keeping cool around the house or running errands while looking put-together and fabulous.
I am thrilled that I was able to transform this dress that didn’t fit into a skirt that fits great and makes me feel pretty without having to try too hard.
I received the Peacock Feather Print Asymmetric Hemline Dress for review through the Oasap Fashion Hunter Program. If you’re a blogger who loves fashion, you can sign up for the Oasap Fashion Hunter Program here. No other compensation was received, and opinions are my own.
I think it looks great on you as a skirt! =]
I like the high hemline in the front.
The skirt you chose is gorgeous! So cute and feminine! It looks good on you 🙂
Thank you for telling us about the sizing issue! Doesn’t seem that one size fits all in this case but looks like you were able to fix it so that you now have a skirt to wear around.
This skirt is adorable! I love the cut on it, it’s very flattering. I love feminine skirts like this 🙂
I would wear that skirt… and I am not really a skirt kinda gal. Been hearing a lot about this company in blogs lately. Def will be checking them out.
I love that mixi looks on skirts since I’m petite.
That looks great and very flattering!
Love the hemline and the fabric pattern. I went to the website and loved the green dress!
What a pretty skirt! It looks fab on you 🙂
Holly I love it! Cute print! Thank goodness it was a style that you could alter! I am also with OASAP and the sweater I got is one size fits all if everyone ordering and wearing the sweater is all a size small or small/med.
I read the review you did of the long sweater from Oasap. It looks really great on you and I’m glad that it fit right. For me, choosing an item that could be altered because of the fit was a life-saver! I’m especially glad that I didn’t wind up cutting the top of the dress off only to have the skirt not fit and being left with just a pile of really pretty fabric to review.
Loving it as a skirt.
That skirt is adorable and looks so cute on you!

Love the skirt very cute love how it is longer in the back looks like it flows nicely while walking the print is cute too!
It does flow very nicely when I’m walking. In fact, I have closed the back of the skirt in doors I’ve closed behind me a few times now. Woops.
Turning it into a skirt was a great idea!!
I love the skirt! It is so flattering on you!
I love what you did to the dress. I am loving the print.
I’ve been hearing a lot about their site lately, and you’ve peeked my interest to check them out =) Great skirt.
I’m so glad that I was able to pique your interest in Oasap. I would totally love to see you review for them, and would especially be interested in seeing all of the lovely photos you could produce with their products.
I’m loving that hemline, what a fun trend, right! I’m going to head over to Oasap now and check them out. Thanks for sharing!

It works great as a skirt, great idea to turn it into one. I haven’t bought anything from oasap but I’ve also been hearing a lot about them. They do have tons of cute pieces but the whole one size thing has stopped me from buying certain things I fell in love with. I’m big on the bottom so I’m not sure how that would work out for me 😉
Some clothes from Oasap are available in traditional S/M/L/XL sizing, but most of the pieces I have fallen in love with on their site are one size, which is so disheartening, especially now that I know that they will most definitely not fit me. I’m just glad that I was able to turn a dress that didn’t fit into a skirt that did.
