Will Obama Legalize Prostitution, Gambling, Drugs and Non-Violent Crime to Stimulate Economy?

During a town hall meeting, a college student asked President Obama if he has looked over the statistics of legalizing prostitution, gambling, drugs and non-violent crime as a way to stimulate the economy. Of course he said no, but I do have a word of advice for those looking for marijuana and other non-violent crimes to be legalized: If it ever was legalized, you’d have to pay taxes on your dealing money.

I say go ahead and legalize it, at least all the crime that goes along with it will go away. All that crime is there because it’s illegal.

If you legalize it, that doesn’t mean that it won’t be a crime anymore. Technically, they’re not crimes if that happens. But we have to look at the end result of what’s going to happen if kids started buying drugs or “non-violent” crimes become a daily occurrence.

  • I think it is a good idea if it is legalized……Well at least it will stop the crimes that are happeneing beacuse of them. The most fun is when this are restricted or illegal to do. May be making it leagal wont tempt people to indulge into it.

Lol, I think this may be a good idea, especially legalizing pot. It is less harmful to health than alcohol and would bring in so much in taxes.

Legalizing it will not eliminate crime. There is a black market on prescription drugs now and prescription drugs are legal. Making something legal does not result in reduced criminal activity especially if demand is there. Buying jewelry is illegal, yet there still are thieves out there. Crime is a deeper issue than simply making something legal.

I am for legalizing prostitution and gambling! You know it exists! You it will keep on existing long after we are gone! Why not make money off it?

Germany and Holland are doing it, why shouldn’t we do it?

Drugs, I am not so much about that, cause of the kids!

  • I think at times it is a way to go. I think at least it will reduce the amount of crime happening just because it been restricted.

  • Many states are already working on legalizing pot. In others, citizens are going the initiative route to get legal pot on the ballet.

You are right ^^ An older mentor of mine showed me the rule that 66% of your games will be determined by luck. You just have to make sure you win the other 33%. We worked with each other with this page: ProComputerGambler Another way to think about it is to realize that you’re tossing a coin…you need to be on the right side of the flip.
