sk*rt, a social media website specifically catering to women, has recently changed their name due to sk!rt magazine threatening a lawsuit because of their name. From now on, sk*rt will now be going by the name of kirtsy.
kirtsy is everything sk*rt was, they even kept the same layout and logo and just changed their name. If you’ve used sk*rt before, remember to change your links from their old address to their new one and luckily, you don’t have to make a new username if you already had one at the old site; they have brought all of their accounts over, so you can just log in as usual.
Best of all, due to their new beginning, kirtsy is having a huge giveaway! One lucky winner will receive a whole mess of exciting and must have stuff, including:
- 14 Books from Hachette Book Group
- A Lands’ End $100 Gift Certificate to buy your new favorite swimsuit.
- A Sony DVDirect.
- An Affirmagy blanket (i sooo want one of these!)
- 3 cool techy items from Spoon Sisters.
- 8 rolls of super cute giftwrap from Hallmark.
- Ten Cases of water from Primo Water.
- A registration to the July BlogHer conference in San Francisco OR a Blogher Reach conference of the winner’s choice. From YouData.
That is a serious amount of loot!
In order to participate in the giveaway just head on over to the new kirtsy blog and read the details.

I just saw it today! Looks like they kept all the posts too. That’s a good thing as well.

Yeah, I just saw this today when they emailed me. But I didn’t know they were giving away stuff. Thanks for the heads up.
What was in their mind when they chose that name ?
Well, not bad but…how did they choose those prizes?!?!? i mean, how a difference between the sony DVDirect and the rolls of giftwrap. Let’s see it’s wonderful but…a little disappointing isn’t it?
Kirtsy is very cool. Although it’s becoming full of junt stories. Another similar site to checkout is http://www.sugarloving.com
I checked it out on your recommendation, although I wasn’t familiar with the previous site; seems to be pretty cool. A little “tabloid-ish” at times, but that comes with the territory, I guess.
