Sandra Bullock Adopts Baby and Files for Divorce

People magazine accomplished the impossible. They published a cover story that no one saw coming–and bumped Julia Roberts in the process.
Sandra Bullock and her new baby boy that she adopted from New Orleans are on the cover of People magazine, but this isn’t a new baby per se; Sandra Bullock has been a new mama for three months and because of all of the drama and craziness that comes with award season, Bullock decided to keep her adoption super secret until after the Academy Awards were over–where she picked up an Oscar for best actress in her role in The Blind Side.
Now that Bullock has introduced her son, Louis Bardo Bullock, named after jazz icon Louis Armstrong, she is also answering the questions that have been on everyone’s minds, including the end of her marriage with Jesse James.
When the news broke about Jesse James and his elicit affairs with other women, Sandra Bullock went on the record, saying:
[I] had no idea about anything. I did the only thing I could do, and that was to pack enough clothes to live on, get all of Louis’ things and get out of town. My main concern was Louis.
When asked if James will have any formal parenting role, she confirmed that she will be adopting as a single parent and anything else will be taken day by day.
On how James and Bullock will go on in the future as a divorced couple, but with her having such an influence over James’ three children, she said:
“I don’t want to know what life is like without those kids…Whatever we need to do, in the healthiest way, we are going to be co-parenting…I really don’t know how our paths will intersect in the future, but the father I have known Jesse to be with all the kids is one that I hope Louis can experience one day, no matter how Jesse and I go on with our lives.”
If one thing in this entire situation is obvious, it is the fact that Sandra Bullock has handled the entire Jesse James fiasco with grace and her heart has been and will always remain in the right place when it comes to the relationships she has cultivated with James’ children.
