That said, I agree that remakes are supposed to improve upon the original. It would make more sense to remake a movie that originally started with a great idea, but was hampered by some other aspect (budget, technology, casting, etc.) to the point that the end product didn't live up to its potential. And, yes, the title is bad. If the project is a genuine remake, and not just some "loosely inspired by" sort of thing, "Cowgirl Bandits" misses the point, entirely. I think it’s kind of hard to say that it’s terrible without having actually seen it.

That said, I agree that remakes are supposed to improve upon the original.
