Get a Sneak Peek at the Enchanted Castle of Disney’s Live-Action ‘Beauty and the Beast’ #BeOurGuest — First Teaser Trailer

Of all the recent live-action retellings of classic Disney films — Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, and there’s even talk of the possibility of a live-action The Little Mermaid — we’ll admit that we have been most eagerly anticipating the live-action Beauty and the Beast ever since it was first confirmed and word got out that Emma Watson would star in the role as Belle.

Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful, and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true prince within.

Disney recently released the Beauty and the Beast teaser trailer, giving viewers a sneak peek of the beast’s enchanted castle. If you don’t quite remember the trailer for the 1991 animated movie, we don’t blame you because that was 25 years ago, but Disney Dorks on Facebook put the trailers side-by-side for a comparison that will likely give you chills. Check it out:

Beauty and the Beast is coming to theaters everywhere March 17, 2017.

The Cast of ‘Inside Out’ Explains Disney/Pixar’s Animation Process, Kind of, in New Featurette

Inside Out

What goes into the creation of a Disney/Pixar movie? Allow the hilarious cast of “Inside Out” to attempt to explain how the animation process works in the new featurette, “Animation Explanation.”

Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, and Phyllis Smith give us their unique take on what they think goes into making a Pixar animated movie (something involving fever dreams), and how they were each able to truly bring their characters to life. Watch:

Do you ever look at someone and wonder what is going on inside their head? Disney/Pixar’s original new film “Inside Out” ventures inside the mind to find out.

Based in Headquarters, the control center inside 11-year-old Riley’s mind, five Emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy (voice of Amy Poehler), whose mission is to make sure Riley stays happy. Fear (voice of Bill Hader) heads up safety, Anger (voice of Lewis Black) ensures all is fair, and Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling) prevents Riley from getting poisoned — both physically and socially. Sadness (voice of Phyllis Smith) isn’t exactly sure what her role is, and frankly, neither is anyone else.

When Riley’s family relocates to a scary new city, the Emotions are on the job, eager to help guide her through the difficult transition. But when Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of Riley’s mind — taking some of her core memories with them — Fear, Anger, and Disgust are left reluctantly in charge. Joy and Sadness must venture through unfamiliar places — Long Term Memory, Imagination Land, and Abstract Thought and Dream Productions — in a desperate effort to get back to Headquarters, and Riley.

All the Cute: Tiny Hamsters in a Tiny Apartment

Meet Enoki and Bunapi, two Winter White Dwarf hamsters who are living the high life in their very own miniature apartment.

If you think you aren’t a hamster person then let us assure you, you are wrong. You just haven’t seen hamsters relax with a snack in front of the TV, take a dip in a sand-filled bathtub, and nap in their very own sleeping quarters.

hamster in apartment

And if you think tiny hamsters hanging out in a tiny apartment wasn’t cute enough, watch as little Enoki is tucked into a pink and white bed fit for mini royalty, complete with a matching polka dot blanket to keep them warm.

While these videos are undeniably adorable, let us quell some natural questions that arise with videos such as these.

The creator of these “Happy Hammy” videos, Jaieden Ace Shen, has clarified in the comments of both videos that their hamsters absolutely do not live in this “apartment” full-time. Enoki and Bunapi have a natural hamster habitat with proper food, water, bedding, tunnels, exercise toys, and lots of space. They are under no stress when placed in their apartment setting, as is easily seen with how comfortable and well-adjusted they are roaming around and utilizing the amenities.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions — Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school.
