Ladies, if you’re anything like me, then your underwear drawer may be strategically organized into stacks of undies that range from most to least frequently worn. First you’ve got your cute everyday undies, your sexy undies, and then way in the back, a section of shame dedicated to your period undies.
Every girl and woman who has ever gotten their period has a stack of period undies. It is practically a rite of passage in femalehood. The most infuriating thing about them, though, is that in most every case they were originally purchased as cute everyday undies. Don’t you hate that, when you find a super cute pair of undies you just have to have, that are comfortable and make you feel pretty, and then you inevitably dare to wear them on the wrong day only to be surprised by an untimely menstrual cycle, or worse, inferior protection? Then just like that, your formerly cute undies are ruined, ravaged by leaks and impossible to get out stains. Off to the back of the drawer they go until next month.

My period has ruined many a pair of super cute underwear. And pajama bottoms. And sheets. One would think that after getting my period every single month for more than half of my life now that I would have this whole thing down pat, no longer having to deal with a surprise visit or pesky leak. One would be wrong in that assumption.
As a woman who seems to lack virtually any natural body rhythm, my period is almost always a surprise. I use a period tracker app to give myself an estimated date of arrival, but the only real warning I get beforehand are mild cramps in the two-to-three days leading up to the main event. During those days I am in a constant state of expectation. When is it going to come? I don’t feel good. I hate everything. Don’t come near me. That was a pretty sharp pain, maybe it started. I should run to the bathroom real quick and check. OK, all clear. Wait, was that it? OK, that was definitely it. Or not. And so on.
And the surprises are just the beginning. When my period does finally decide to grace me with its presence, the cramps are intense and the general discomfort is brutal. Everything is sensitive, nothing is working as it should, and I am miserable — at least for the first few days.
It is during these days, the heaviest of days, when I am a pad-only kind of gal. The intense pressure and added discomfort racking my body makes tampons a no-go. But while pads are the more comfortable option, they come with their own unique challenges and learning curve, including stained underwear banished to the shame section of the underwear drawer and white sheets never to be seen or heard from again.
Here’s the deal: not all pads are the same. The quality and feel of one pad is not the same as another. Some pads are so thick that you feel like you’re wearing a diaper, while others don’t absorb as well or as quickly as you need them to and leave you feeling like you’ve wet your pants. Some pads fail to keep up with how a woman’s body naturally moves and bunches up, leaving you both uncomfortable and completely vulnerable to messy — and potentially embarrassing — leaks.
That’s where U by Kotex comes in to make things right.
U by Kotex is on a mission to save the undies. By amassing a squad of fierce, knowledgeable UnderWarriors who demand more from their menstrual products, U by Kotex with 3D Capture Core is ridding the female world of leaks and messy mishaps.
The U by Kotex AllNighter pads are a flexible overnight pad that move with your body. Its uniquely shaped wings hold it in place and help prevent bunching so that you can rest easy and wake up clean!
What I like most about these pads is that they are so thin while still offering up some serious protection. This is made possible by 3D Capture Core, a one-of-a-kind center that quickly draws in and locks away wetness to stop leaks. The breathable cotton will keep you feeling fresh, and the super soft sides won’t cause discomfort or irritation while you move.

Lucky for me, I am like clockwork with my cycle so I have very few accidents. I do love Kotex products, though. I have been using them for years.
I am so happy I no longer have to worry about this problem. Those days are long gone. But yes, I still remember them and wish back then they had these type of pads to save my underware!
Mine can be a surprise too sometimes, I buy these. They do the job pretty well.
I agree that not all products are created equal. As soon as I think I’ve got everything figured out, my body throws me a curveball. Ugh!
I just love how pretty these are! Why weren’t they around when I was a teen?
I love kotex! Awesome!
I always have Kotex products on hand. They work great and they’re priced great…sounds great to me!
There’s a tracker? Where has that been all my life?
I have been using monthlyinfo.com for years. It is super handy, especially if you’re not always on time.
Nothing is more irritating than ruining a fantastic pair of undies. :/ Love my kotex products for keeping them safe though.
I love U by Kotex. The fun colored wrappers are awesome!
Thank you for the sample. Perfect for traveling!
I usually use Carefree products but now I’m going to have to try Kotex instead!
That cartoon is cute LOL! I have always been a fan of Kotex!
I like Kotex because of their packaging! It’s cute and chic and makes me feel a little less embarrassed.
I’ve never tried Kotex. I have heard tons of girls say they are a wonderful brand, so I might try them out!
I haven’t tried Kotex tampons either. I got some samples and handed them off to my daughter. I usually use pads unless I’m going swimming these days.
I requested and received samples of U by Kotex tampons on their website several months ago and in my experience, their tampons are much better fit for teens. They are slim and I had a few messy leaks using them. Other Kotex tampon varieties may provide better absorbency, but the U by Kotex I’d recommend for either teens or for women with a light flow. The U by Kotex pads, on the other hand, are a whole different story. They’re comfortable, they don’t chafe the insides of my bikini line, and they provide top notch absorbency. I’m a happy camper.
I love that cartoon. I like using kotex and it’s my brand of choice.
It’s a good brand. My mom used it, and I sometimes do too.
I like Ultra Thin, cottony soft pads. This looks like a good one. 🙂
This is different. Real undie saver
Love these Kotex products for sure that helps keeping yourself safe all over. I do love how cute & colorful they are. Thanks for sharing.
I buy U by kotex for my 12 year old. She loves them.
I JUST started using a tracker and I hope it helps, but I’m in the same boat with you. The timing is all wacky and never consistent and I hate being caught off guard. This is a great solution.
I loved that comic! I know what you mean. I always worry a little when I put a new pair of totally cute underwear on. I know it will jinx me, and those undies will be ruined. I’ll definitely check out kotex. Thanks!
Wishing these were around when I was just a teen:)
