Vintage Jewelry Sure to Make You Go “Oooh”

antique silver ring Jewelry can completely transform any outfit you wear, regardless of it’s class factor. If you’re wearing a pair of jeans and old t-shirt, the minute you put on some small silver hoops, your outfit goes from frumpy to chic just like that! As long as you don’t pile on the jewelry (ie: wearing a necklace, bracelet and big, dangly earrings all at the same time) jewelry can only make you shine a little brighter in whatever you’re wearing.

There are an abundance of styles, colors, precious jewels, gemstones, pearls and pretty much everything else you can think of out there and every woman has her favorites. For me, you can cannot possibly get any more exquisite than vintage jewelry. It’s said about a great deal of goods and property and it’s true when it comes to jewelry too–they just don’t make them like they used to. It’s very easy to see some of the top jewelry designers now playing it safe when it comes to the jewelry market; the same bangle they’ve made once, they’ve made a thousand times and the necklaces their collection carried last year are the same being carried this year, with different accompanying colors of the same gems and jewels. Before there were so many people attempting to turn a profit for jewelry design, you had the designers who invented what we have come to love today and designers who truly took chances with their work. Vintage jewelry has a tendency to take your breath away when you see it, it can shock you and it can leave you staring with your tongue hanging out to have it in your possession.

Of course, like any other woman, I am very picky when it comes to jewelry and I have been introduced to a great deal of phenomenal resources to find (and ogle) vintage jewelry and some vintage rings I have recently found have really captured my attention.

vintage silver ring An upcoming vintage and antique jewelry boutique that I have great hopes for is VintageYard, who specialize in vintage and antique engagement rings, rings that just compliment a woman’s style perfectly, estate jewelry, fine jewels and vintage brooches and pendants. While their entire stock is not completely up, I know I’ll be checking back frequently for gorgeous jewelry at a price that is really a steal; I have done several double-takes when finding a vintage ring I was in love with and saw the amazing price! While most of their vintage rings are gold and I’m more of an either white gold or silver kind of gal, I really can’t see what else graces their collection!

  2. It is important to educate yourself on diamonds before ever stepping into a retail store. Learning about diamonds is the biggest advantage that you can have in the buying process. Not only will being educated about diamonds help you get a fair price and understand if the diamond is a good value, but knowing about diamonds will help you choose a diamond more to your liking.
