Wake Up Every Morning to a New Yoga Workout

I have just recently started doing yoga; something I have been interested in starting for years. I had put off starting yoga for so long due to a myriad of reasons, the biggest of my worries being that I was so out of shape that I wouldn’t be able to do it. Last February, for Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend presented me with a pink yoga mat and two beginners DVDs, knowing how interested I had been in starting to do yoga. I began immediately and after making it through my two DVDs enough times, I started to crave more of a variety.

Yoga Today Because living frugally is key in many households, buying a new workout DVD is slotted as a splurge and not something that someone will purchase under most circumstances. That is why I was so excited to come across Yoga Today, a website that is featuring a new yoga class every single day. Every morning when you wake up, there will be a new class posted by yoga experts to help you step by step through the workout of the day, seven days a week, plus you can watch past classes if you miss a day or are just starting. Best of all, all of the classes on Yoga Today are free!

  • Yoga is such a great away to start or end any day. It can and will change your life.

  • This is an idea that we are actually pursuing for our site. We hope to create a Youtube channel and give free workout tips, how to do yoga poses and such on there. We think it would be a great benefit to interested people and some great free PR.

Holly, as someone interested in these types of free workout videos what would you suggest as being most helpful in a short video form? Instructional or routine based videos? I can\’t wait to hear your answer.

    • Holly says:

As far as yoga goes, and as someone who knows pretty much nothing about yoga but wants to know more and learn more about it and how to do it effectively, I would say that a combination of instructional and routine videos would be ideal. Maybe speak about WHY people would be interested in starting to practice yoga, how it can benefit them and their lives and then go into very brief instructional stuff to show how to do a pose, what it’s called, when the best time to do it and so on. Starting a YouTube channel with instructional videos on yoga is such a great idea and I know I would most likely be interested in subscribing to it and learning more about yoga and implementing it into my life and can imagine other women would be interested in the same.

      Much luck to you!

  • Holly,

Thank you for your comments. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. Thanks again and I will definitely let you know once the channel is up.

  • Useful post. Instructional videos always seem to work best for most.
    Thanks.

We only do Yoga in the mornings and meditation too. It prepares for a busy day.

  • Yoga it’s great when you have kids. I use it as a refuge and to recharge my batteries.

  • If that is the case you need to do something positive right away so that you begin the task of reversing the downward spiral of poor health and low spirits and start working your way towards a new you ,who is also the ‘old you’ – but better!

  • One of the best things about yoga is that you do not need an already strong physique to start the workout. With pretty easy steps, you can get some strong results.

  • Janixia says:

Yeah I agree, doing Yoga first in the morning do help to have a positive energy throughout the day. It’s very relaxing.

  • Thanks for the great blog. All of the posts are very informative and keep me motivated. Please keep up the good work.
