Taking pictures of cats is not easy. The very nature of cats tends to revolve around making everything just a little more difficult for their humans.
“Oh, you were trying to work on your laptop? Too bad, since I’ve decided that it is the perfect place to nap!”
“How dare you think you get to take up more of the bed than me!”
“How silly of you to think you could walk from your bedroom to the kitchen without letting me go first. I’ll just have to trip you and then make you feel bad about almost stepping on me.”
You get the idea.
I have three of the most adorable cats ever (I can make that drastic of a statement because they are mine) and I really enjoy trying to get great pictures of them — yes, trying. Most of the pictures I manage to get of them come out pretty boring; cats doing normal cat things, mostly sleeping because it’s just easier that way. But sometimes I manage to get a really awesome picture of one of them. The above picture of my cat Vincent mid-yawn is one of those pictures. It’s just perfect. Cat picture-taking does not get much better for me than that.
