I drink a lot of coffee. A lot. Coffee is one of the great loves of my life, and I can’t even honestly say that is an exaggeration. My fiance and I were having a discussion about necessities vs luxuries last week, and while discussing the most important things we need to have in our lives, I listed coffee above him. The internet may have come in above him also. Whoops.

But while I indulge in cup after cup of coffee, am I thinking about what it took to get that coffee into my mug? Of course I’m not; but I should be and you should be too because it is really an interesting process that has to happen to get everyone’s caffeine fixes met.
